The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2010. The department offers a four year Under Graduate degree program in Computer Science and Engineering with an annual intake of 60 students. Its curriculum covers all areas of Computer Science and Engineering in the streams such as Data Structures, Database Systems, Compiler Design, Computer Organization, Networking and Security, Data Mining, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. The Department has excellent infrastructure facilities with well-equipped computer labs, classrooms, and libraries. The department has competent and committed faculty which encourages student’s involvement in various co-curricular activities along with their academics. Our Department maintains MoU with ASAP which help to impart industry standard trainings for the students.

ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE:
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems..
PO2
Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations

Conduct investigations of complex problems: : Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

Students learn better through interacting with each other. To inculcate various values as well as develop their skill sets , Al-Azhar has active clubs ranging from Young India Club, Nature Club, Science Club, Eco Club, Entrepreneurship Club etc.

Separate hostels are allotted for boys and girls within the campus. Special attention is given to food and care of the students to make them feet at home away from home.
